About the Artist

Wanda Vallés

Hi :) my name is Wanda and I am an artist based in Happy Valley, Oregon. I was born and raised in Perú and my love for art has been with me ever since I was a kid.

I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling because I deeply believe in the healing power of art. I want to help guide others in their own creative expression and healing through art, just as I have done in my own life.

Aside from my work as an artist and student, I am also a fire performer and a wood worker. I love the warmth and beauty of wood and enjoy creating functional pieces that are not only beautiful but also useful. And of course, a proud husky mom.

My work is a reflection of who I am - passionate, creative, dedicated, and all over the place. Each piece I create is a labor of love, sweat, and sometimes tears. I pour my heart out into every stroke and every wood burn.

I believe that art has the power to uplift and inspire, and there's no right or wrong way of doing art. Whether it's a gift for yourself or for a loved one, I would be honored to create something special just for you.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me and my art. I hope to have the opportunity to share my passion with you and create something beautiful together.

My Mission

My mission is simple: to use the elements of nature to create meaningful art. I find inspiration in all aspects of the natural world, the way it soothes my soul and calms my mind, and I strive to bring a piece of that serenity into every creation.

I see the potential in everything and love the challenge of transforming something, whether it's a scrap of wood or a discarded painting, into something new and beautiful. So much beauty can be found in the most unexpected places and I have made it my job as an artist to uncover that beauty and share it with the world.

As I continue my studies in art therapy, I am excited to mold what I learn and what I do together and explore the healing power of art. I've seen and experienced firsthand how creating art can be therapeutic and I believe it has the potential to help people in many different ways. I hope to inspire people to connect with and appreciate the natural world, and to find peace and healing in cohesion with nature.

So why choose my art? Because it is more than just a painting or a piece of wood - it is a representation of our coexistence with the elements of nature. It's a reminder to connect with the natural world, even in the midst of our busy lives.

I hope that my art inspires you even a fraction of how much it inspires me. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my mission and for supporting my art.
